Manages the SAS US Government Services Delivery Practice. Defines and oversees the development of internal and external resources needed to accomplish business goals. Accomplishes results through 360 planning, strategic business development goals, aligned implementation approaches, and prioritized business initiatives. Maximizes revenues, utilization and profit, through collaboration with all applicable internal departments and divisions to achieve the strategic use of SAS solutions and products by US Government customers. Leverages domain and industry expertise.
Develops and implements business plans specific to a practice’s objectives and goals. Works with essential business partners internal and external of division for alignment, strategy, execution and evaluation of practice objectives.
Defines and oversees the practice objectives and the acquisition/development of resources including implementation of partner strategies to support the needs of the business
Provides leadership and management of the practice comprised of functions that may include some of the following services: implementation, integration, readiness, management consulting, engagement management, business development, and marketing. May also include other functional areas depending upon the business location and need.
Provides staff with clear understanding of responsibilities, accountabilities and growth plan by communicating and managing work assignments, training, talent management and performance appraisals.
Defines, creates and maintains the required IP and artifacts that support a standard delivery of solutions within the practice to our clients. Ensures adoption across the practice.
Collaborates regularly with appropriate divisional management to ensure progress toward divisional goals pertinent to their group or practice. Collaborates regularly with appropriate delivery and sales leadership to ensure progress toward joint business plans and objectives are progressing and aligned.
Professionally represents SAS internally and externally. Ensures managed practice and its members represent SAS professionally and all work activities are conducted with integrity, honesty and fairness.
Provides quality presales and service delivery through strong leadership of the practice, consistent communication and enforcing of accountabilities to staff. Ensuring all staff are accountable for results of customer satisfaction which may come in many forms of notification.
Responsible for all quantitative and qualitative practice metrics. Financial metrics and Performance metrics can vary by practice and will depend on practice objectives.
Thought leader in area of practice. Keeps abreast of trends in the related and competitive marketplace.
Ensures staff compliance with established divisional policies and procedures including, but not limited to, skills inventory, staff profiles, methodologies, quality assurance and project closeout.
Participates with other management to develop strategic direction and priorities for the business unit.
Provides input on the decision-making process for administrative or operational matters and ensures operations’ effective achievement of business unit objectives.
Clarifies processes and establishes the infrastructure necessary to ensure successful collaborative efforts, including defining contacts, establishing regular meetings, and communicating pertinent information.
Manages a large, complex project portfolio.
Develops and maintains key relationships with senior management within US Government Sales, SAS R&D, Technical Support and Product Management.
Travels to US Government customer sites as business needs require.

Experience selling and delivering larger dollar value implementations with multiple products and solutions working together.
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management Practice procedures and tools; thorough understanding of project delivery lifecycle.
Demonstrated understanding of P&L responsibilities and the impact on service delivery.
