About the Role:

As a senior member of the Market Research team at SAS headquarters, you will be engaged in highly visible market research programs that support company strategic initiatives. You will lead and execute research projects that encompass a wide range of research methods using both primary and secondary sources and qualitative and quantitative approaches. You will work across functional areas to disseminate actionable research insights to drive corporate decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with others on the Market Research team to identify the appropriate information sources, methodologies and research topics to address critical business issues. 
  • Interact with Senior Management to identify research priorities on strategic issues.
  • Apply state-of-the art market research techniques and best practices in the development of research projects.
  • Manage or contribute to market research projects to address key business issues.
  • Analyze various types of data using appropriate analytical tools.
  • Develop and deliver actionable insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis and an understanding of the business.
  • Stay abreast of SAS priorities, products and initiatives to inform sound research recommendations.
  • This position reports to the Director of Market Research.

Essential

  • Master's degree in market research, business administration, social sciences or related field.
  • At least 8 years related experience developing and executing research studies, preferably in the B2B market.
  • SAS, JMP or related analytics software programming skills. 
  • Ability to use and apply statistical analysis to research data.
  • Proven ability to derive actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative information. 
  • Leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills.

Additional

  • Knowledge of the business analytics software industry and B2B commerce. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to effectively represent the SAS Market Research Department and its vision to all levels within the organization. 
  • Ability to think critically and to apply innovative approaches to addressing business issues with market research. 
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. 
  • Ability to travel as business requirements dictate.

Preferences

  • Experience in B2 B market research.
