Timeline

  • Applications: September 2017- February 2018
  • Interviews: November 2017-April 2018 on a rolling basis.
  • Internship: 10-12 weeks. Starts dates for the summer intern program are May 15, 2018 or June 12, 2018.

Once you apply to this application, we will provide regular status updates to all applicants on a rolling basis. Based on your prior experiences and interests, your resume will be shared with hiring managers across SAS. This will then determine who you interview with during the selection process. During the selection and interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the team you may work on. You can view a list of example positions below.

 

The summer internship will last 10-12 weeks and these specific opportunities will be located in Cary, NC.

Landscaping Internships

The goals of the Landscaping Department are to care for and maintain the overall appearance of the SAS Campus in order to provide a welcoming atmosphere for our employees and customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, plant installation, watering, mowing, pruning/shearing of plant material, and assisting with various projects.

Food Services Internships

The Food Service Department supports SAS by providing quick, healthy meals to employees, their families, and business guests of the company. In our fast paced environment, you will assist in preparing, serving and transporting food, and keeping our cafes clean and sanitary. Some of the work is heavy (up to 50 lbs.), and will change almost every day as you work in all the SAS Foodservice locations. 

 

What are the requirements for the role?

 

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a US Based school.
  • This is a 10-12 week internship where you will actually be a real person so you have to be able to work for all of Summer 2018. Students must not be graduating prior to the beginning of the internship, and be enrolled to return to school after the internship ends.

What type of skills do we prefer?

 

  • Teamwork. With a dash of independence.
  • Leadership. You sit in the front row of the class.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher. Going to class is #vital. 
  • Emails. You have to know how to write them.
  • Talking. You have to do it effectively.
