This is a rare opportunity to join one of the world’s foremost and most sought-after employers, bringing your C++ and Windows GUI skills to a group focused on developing Windows-based viewers for SAS’ Visual Analytics products. We are looking for a Software Developer to join the Business Intelligence R&D team that develops both the SAS Mobile BI app for Universal Windows Platform and its C#/.NET desktop cousin.  These viewers are part of SAS’ multiplatform offerings that provide our customers “the power to know.”

Responsibilities for this role include…

  • Design, write and revise new or existing program language code; actively soliciting the involvement of other developers to ensure integrity and cross-product consistency
  • Perform testing of software; verify, track, and fix bugs; modify software design as necessary
  • Discuss technical and design issues with other developers, managers, designers, users, or customers whenever necessary to achieve the best solution
  • Participate in project scoping and scheduling using Agile methodology; track progress of individual tasks and alert project lead or manager of issues meeting schedule
  • Ensure software quality and functionality
  • Maintain ownership and accountability of code by verifying programming output in unit test cases
  • Work with usability and accessibility analysts and documentation team to meet corporate, product and market requirements
  • Perform majority of primary responsibilities listed on projects independently
  • Ask questions and seek assistance as required without prompting
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Do you qualify? You must have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related quantitative field
  • Proficiency in C++
  • GUI development experience
  • Comfort in a Windows programming environment
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented programming
