Curiosity is our code, and the opportunities here are endless.    The Partner Success Manager ensures the continued prosperity and growth of SAS by maximizing opportunities to sell SAS software solutions through active engagement with identified third-parties within defined accounts. This position will be focused on the North American Growth Market sector. Third-parties may include management and business consultants, system integrators, ISV’s and other technology companies who bring value to the SAS proposition.   In this role, you’d be responsible for a variety of activities including building relationships with SAS sales, engaging with our client’s strategic partners, marketing SAS solutions to partner(s), aligning partner offerings/initiatives to business units, driving enablement activities and managing the operational structure to support these engagements. #LI-Remote #LI-Hybrid   What you’ll do - Coordinate and monitor the efforts of cross-divisional SAS teams working with partners on specific initiatives. - Recruit, Enable and Develop a select number of partners to be high value contributors to SAS software sales acceleration. - Focus on partner value creation, “net new” and partner origination of SAS software engagements. - Develop business plans with partners that deliver value creation or originate sales engagements to penetrate new accounts and markets. - Build relationships with internal stakeholders to develop partner strategies, encourage cooperation and develop trust with and for our partners. - Collaborate with SAS Sales to develop strategic and tactical plans to generate incremental revenue for SAS with partners. - Map partner initiatives to SAS business to generate and develop ideas and pursue engagement opportunities. - Drive strategic pipeline build and management. - Play a collaborative role in pursuits with respect to high-value opportunities with oversight in the responses to proposals. - Collaborate across Alliances & Channels on the enablement plans to develop partners at all levels. - Develop and execute operational procedures within the Alliance & Channel team that support sales engagements and revenue pursuits with partners. - Lead partner recruitment of Alliances & Channel partners, specific to the Growth Market business unit; identifying gaps and assessing unsolicited partner applications.  Other knowledge, skills, and abilities needed - Business development experience and a proven track record in project development and execution.  - An understanding of how to develop an integrated marketing plan that targets specific partner initiatives with direct and indirect sales channels.  - A sound understanding of industry standards, methodologies and best practices to support the growth of direct and indirect channel business with the ability to review, analyze and synthesize polices to facilitate understanding and usage by the constituents.  - A general understanding of SAS software focus areas and ideally will have experience with software sales or software alliances within their career. Experience in manufacturing industries is a plus. What we’re looking for - 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, business partner relationship development, or technical functions with partners in the software industry including related products and services. - Alliance, Sales, or Professional Services management knowledge and experience within the software industry. - Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams while maintaining governance to avoid escalations and exposure. - Experience in crafting and delivering proposals and/or messaging to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. - Proven ability to develop and secure relationships at all levels within a client or partner organization. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to travel 30% of the time or as business needs require. - Work Location: Cary, NC preferred, but flexible on anywhere in the United States or Canada. Candidate must possess direct experience working in healthcare consulting and/or healthcare business development, with a working knowledge of health-related policy and trends. This candidate will use their knowledge and healthcare experience to advance SAS analytic solutions, deepen industry relationships and help win new business opportunities. A successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to help healthcare organizations solve complex data and analytic problems by providing strategic guidance and direction to internal and external stakeholders.   This person will be responsible for developing and managing the relationship between SAS and current or prospective customers by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at target companies, coordinating with external advisors, identifying unmet industry needs, and developing strategies to pursue opportunities in the Commercial Healthcare vertical.   Primary Responsibilities: - Develop and support industry specific business development strategies that enable sales teams to establish SAS as the preferred partner in the healthcare space for key advanced analytic capabilities and platforms. These strategies will need to address industry trends and sources of major disruption and help position SAS and its offerings within the market. - Develop and manage strong and effective working relationships with key decision makers, influencers, external advisors and business development contacts. - Manage a team of external executive advisors within the commercial healthcare business unit. - Build customer networks, especially with senior executives. Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and/or business partners at the highest levels of management. - Provide support and strategic guidance to SAS sales organization leadership to develop new account penetration strategiesand business partner relationship management programs and make recommendations to executive levels of management with respect to the negotiation of complex business matters and deal structure. - Keep abreast of new company product development and marketing strategies, relating technical concepts to SAS software applications and user needs, and analyze industry trends to identify new opportunities. - Proactively communicate domain knowledge to sales colleagues and other non-technical sales functions that empower the field to identify opportunities and successfully position SAS offerings. - Partner with sales account teams for proposal responses, sales calls and presentations by developing strategic direction from market information and creates compelling proposals/ideas that effectively differentiate SAS from our competitors. - Participate in industry organizations and attend industry functions to promote SAS and develop potential partnerships. - Provide overall project management and coordination for customer and/or business partner specific initiatives. May direct internal resources, including pre- sales and post-sales services, contracts, and/or partner relationships.
