As a Product Manager on the Cloud & Platform Technologies team, you will be responsible for shaping SAS’s advanced analytics platform into an indispensable solution for enterprise customers across the globe. Additionally, you will advise clients on data provisioning, analytics, and reporting frameworks relevant to insurance. While interacting with clients to help solve their business problems, you will gain a breadth of first-hand experiences in risk analytics, data management, and regulatory capital assessment. In addition to business and technical advisory on implementation, this role will assist the Risk Delivery Advisory team with its responsibilities in presales and proof of concept efforts, implementation training and enablement of SAS consultants and partners globally, service estimates, product content creation for SAS’ Insurance Risk & Regulatory solutions.   You will: - Demonstrate leadership in delivering SAS’ Insurance Risk & Regulatory solutions and implementations to customers - Create relationships with SAS customers as a trusted advisor and partner - Provide advisory support to internal and external delivery partners to ensure successful implementations - Interact with clients to assess the functional and operational business needs - Conduct financial risk analysis, explore and design creative new approaches to solving real business problems - Lead functional assessments to understand solution requirements for risk and finance frameworks - Teach best practices to risk consulting teams globally - Provide actionable feedback to solution Research & Development based on customer experiences - Advise sales team on objectives for customer meetings, overall sales plan and provide solution leadership What we're looking for The successful candidate will have a background in insurance accounting in life, P&C insurance or reinsurance or financial services, technical expertise in developing/implementing accounting and finance regulatory reporting frameworks, including an awareness of the following: - Solid accounting knowledge and experience in US GAAP, Statutory Accounting, Long Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) and IFRS17 - Experience in accounting policy development and advisory, accounting principle implementation, financial analysis and reporting with risk regulatory audit and compliance - Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or equivalent - Good understanding of international standards such as IFRS17, LDTI, Solvency II, ORSA - Experience in GL systems and accounting software such as Oracle GL, SAP, QuickBooks, etc. The successful candidate should also have: - A passionately curious, dedicated life-long learner with an analytical mind, strong communication skills to convey the technical to a non-technical audience, and an accountable problem-solving disposition - Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a financial institution or consulting firm - Experienced in computer programing language and risk modeling, with interest in expanding technology skills and knowledge - BS in Accounting, Economics or other quantitative field preferred - Ability to coach and mentor colleagues on risk, accounting, and finance technical topics - Ability to travel at least 50% globally (most travel is domestic with occasional global requirements) The nice to haves - Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex math and statistical concepts to an executive audience - MS in Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Accounting or other quantitative field - Additional risk domain knowledge considered valuable – market risk, credit risk, enterprise risk, and/or operational risk. SAS is seeking a Sr. Business Development Specialist who brings strong FDA domain knowledge. This person will aid and advise SAS’ understanding and partnership with the FDA. As a Sr. Business Development Specialist, the candidate will deliver high-level consulting to clients and colleagues using his/her regulatory policy and life sciences knowledge. Candidates must possess direct experience working with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or experience working for a consulting firm that has closely partnered with senior leadership at the FDA. This candidate will use their life sciences knowledge and start-up company mindset to shape and grow SAS within the FDA and deepen industry relationships.   Primary Responsibilities:   Reporting to the Manager of Health Policy in U.S. Government, the candidate will provide executive leadership for SAS within the FDA and life sciences ecosystem. Responsibilities and functions include:   Planning and Supporting Business and Analytical Relationships - Identify industry trends and sources of major disruption that well-position SAS with FDA and commercial industry - Develop industry specific strategies that enables the SAS account management team to establish SAS as the preferred partner for key advanced analytic platforms at the FDA.
