As a Customer Intelligence (CI) Sales Strategist at SAS, you’ll work directly with sales leadership to identify and capture CI opportunities across the entire US SMB market. You’ll successfully align key internal resources and partners to sell and support CI solutions with a focus on growing overall revenue, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, and creating relevant, satisfying, and valued customer experiences.   We’re seeking someone who is customer-obsessed and ready to walk into a room backed by over 40 years of analytics innovation. Summary of Duties: Provide statistical and/or analytical consulting services for customer engagements. Translates customer business needs into data requirements and analytical techniques. Conduct customer sessions for requirements gathering, data discovery, analysis, reporting, and presentation. Demonstrate proficiency in use of Base SAS software/SAS STAT/SAS OR procedures. Support data acquisition, validation, cleaning/preparation, and management from incoming data sources to facilitate analysis. Contribute and/or reviews proposals, documentation, publications, and course materials. Provide coaching and knowledge transfer in relevant expertise. Serve as analytical lead for services that contain a statistical/analytical component. Participate in in-house corporate training sessions containing statistical sessions for SAS training courses. Assist in the estimation and development of the scopes for consulting projects. Provide leadership expertise in positioning analytical services to both customers and internal teams. Take a lead on business critical assignments and provides innovative solutions to resolve it. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion. Travel up to 20% as business requirements dictate.   Qualifications: Requires a PhD in Statistics or a closely related field of study plus one (1) year in data analysis, statistical research, statistical software development, or a related role. Alternatively will accept a Master’s degree in Statistics or a closely related field of study and two (2) years of experience in data analysis, statistical research, statistical software development, or a related role. Position requires expertise in a wide range of statistical methods and analytical tools emphasizing on modeling and forecasting time series data.  Requires high level of proficiency in editing technical material and writing, and in relating complex statistical concepts, advanced modeling approaches, and other technical applications to mixed audiences with statistical and non-statistical background. Requires deep knowledge of analytical offerings and SAS procedures, specializing on products that build time series models and implement automated forecasting methodologies.
