Our curiosity fuels innovation, pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo and changing the way we live.   What you’ll do As a member of the SAS Analytic Consulting and Enterprise Solutions (ACES) group, you will support customer analytic business needs through requirements gathering, data discovery, analysis, reporting, and presentation. Your duties will include analyzing large volumes of customer data for accuracy and consistency, translating business requirements into analytic methods, building analytic models, and presenting results. Your duties will also include automating analytic processes, developing and enhancing custom software tools, assisting in quality assurance efforts for all ACES projects, and other duties as assigned.   You will: - Provide statistical and/or analytical consulting services for customer engagements. - Translate customer business needs into data requirements and analytical techniques. - Conduct customer sessions for requirements gathering, data discovery, analysis, reporting, and presentation. - Demonstrate proficiency in analytic solution development in production systems. - Support data acquisition, validation, cleaning/preparation, and management from incoming data sources to facilitate analysis. - Contribute to and/or review proposals, documentation, publications, and course materials. - Provide coaching and knowledge transfer in relevant expertise. - Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion. - Other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for - Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, operations research, or a related quantitative field.  - At least 2 years of experience in SAS, R, and/or Python to solve customers' complex business problems using innovative analytical processes and techniques. - Formal training and experience with data mining and statistical modeling techniques. - Proven record of handling increasing responsibilities and multiple projects/tasks. - You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. The nice to haves - Consulting, public speaking, or classroom teaching experience also preferred. - At least 2 years of experience in analytical consulting. - Experience applying analytic solutions to banking, insurance, manufacturing, government and/or other industries. - Experience with analytic approaches related to fraud detection, NLP, NLU, NLG, and/or deep learning. Other knowledge, skills, and abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to communicate with people of various technical and business backgrounds, including the ability to explain data modeling and other technical concepts in simple terms to business users. - Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Sr Technical Consultant - Fraud (LATAM)     Provides consulting and implementation service including requirements gathering, analysis, solution development, knowledge transfer and project closeout both off and on customer site; assists sales teams with relevant activities and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities - Engagement in various phases of the implementation life cycle including requirements gathering, architecture/design, development, testing and/or training. - Evaluate customer business requirements, compile technical design documentation, and architect solutions to ensure successful customer implementations. - Prepare and present materials for site visits, project work, and training services. - Implement prototypes/demos for use in sales situations and site visits. - Implement SAS Fraud Framework and SAS Detection & Investigation solutions at customer sites or in hosted environments. - Advisory profile, able to give presentations, determine the best solution. - Fraud combat and AML knowledge, able to translate all new concepts into customer solution. - Compile documentation and conduct knowledge transfer with customers. - Create scripts and support the automation of processes related to solution implementations. - Ensure the quality of the technical deliverables using industry best practices. - Develop and maintain internal applications, intellectual property, and tools.    Do you qualify? - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a quantitative field. - Multiple year experience in Operations, Anti-Fraud Strategy, Money Laundering Prevention. - Excellent written and oral communication, problem solving, and time management skills. - Understanding of SOA concepts, queues (MQ, Kafka), XML, SOAP, JSON - Ability to work and learn independently and as part of a team. - Ability to travel to client locations (when and if business travelling is resumed) - Exposure to programming languages as Python, SQL, SAS / SAS DS2. - Ability to speak English and Spanish.   The nice to haves - Experience in surveying fraud prevention scenarios and Money Laundering Prevention guidelines applied in any of these segments: Banking, Insurance, Telco, Health or Government. - Experience with SAS tools such as Base SAS, SAS Macros, and/or stored processes. - Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows scripting, process automation. - Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, Db2, or Teradata.   Why SAS - We love living the #SASlife and believe that happy, healthy people have a passion for life, and bring that energy to work.
