Candidates must be ready to make an impact.   We are looking for a seasoned State and Local Government Business Development Specialist who has also successfully closed deals with the Public Safety community.   Criminal justice and public safety agencies have the ability to change outcomes and improve lives through the use of data and analytics. SAS can help improve community and officer safety, reduce crime and victimization and optimize criminal justice resources. In this role you will be responsible for sales of SAS Justice & Public Safety Solutions and services in a high volume, multi-tasking environment to prospective and current accounts. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in your accounts supporting solutions and implementations that make a difference in lives of people.       Primary Responsibilities:   - Sell software, solutions and services to current and prospective customers in Justice & Public Safety accounts, primarily local and state governments. - Work with team of personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities to acquire, grow and retain customers within assigned territory. - Manage broad base of existing customers focused on superior customer service, rapid responsiveness and customer retention.  - Fulfill wide range of requests for information from prospective customers. Qualifies level of opportunity and type of account. - Prospect within a territory to uncover business needs. - Implement aspects of territory and account management and development; identifies accounts with high "close" potential, qualifies, and forecast time frames to close business. - Team with account executives on strategic account development opportunities. - Work closely with support teams and State account executives to facilitate timely response to highly qualified, high revenue potential leads. - Develop action plans to close business for accounts. - Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; works with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for services. - Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities. - Develop a basic understanding of company pricing and licensing procedures. - Perform other duties, as assigned. Knoledge, Skills and Abilities:  - Knowledge of basic sales techniques; knowledge of hardware and/or software acquisitions cycles and buying influences. - Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan; ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will participate in vendor partnerships, assist in improving overall data protection service delivery, and troubleshoot and deliver data protection services. You will participate in the research, design, architecting, testing, and deployment of data Protection services in the public cloud and on-premises.   You will: - Analyze, install, acquire, modify, and support operating systems, databases, or utilities software. - Assist with the planning, design, setup, and troubleshooting of such items as operating systems, systems management software, security and AV software, productivity applications, and other software impacting company employees. - Perform usage planning, forecasting/trending, hardware/software configuration, and installation of such items as operating systems, AV, and patch management infrastructure, productivity applications, and virtualized environments. - Produce and maintain current documentation on all aspects of SAS company infrastructure IT needs. - Participate in a rotation for 24-hour, on-call service in support of the global communications infrastructure. - Assist with special projects, as assigned, in design, implementation, transition, and operational roles. - Provide software support for assigned products, including installation, maintenance, documentation, customization, and utilization of product features. - Work closely with Global Information Security to implement solutions that enhance SAS’ security posture.   What we’re looking for - You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. As a Development Tester, you will work to support product development in the Health and Life Sciences division. The Development Tester applies software quality assurance and engineering expertise to assure quality throughout the product life cycle. This includes software testing, as well as the definition of appropriate test strategies and test plans.   Responsibilities: - Define, document, and execute test plans and procedures. - Interact directly with developers to assure quality of programs, resolve bugs, and represent customer interests. - Understand underlying application models, functional requirements, points of integration, migration, and domain. - Perform verification and QA of algorithms, data sets and reports used in creating and/or analyzing customer data. - Apply test strategy with varying degrees of coverage and methods: UI, back-end, exploratory, end-to-end, numeric validation. - Exercise systematic tests; analyzes test results to ensure integrity of functionality and recommend corrective action. - Exercise good judgment as to methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria. - Identify system defects and makes recommendations for resolution. - Work with developers, analysts, and project managers to identify and mitigate risks to quality. - Evaluate, track, and verify fixes for final resolution. - Programming, scripting, and other duties as assigned.
